The Oregon Coast
slide show (15) These photos were taken in June of 2010 from Bandon to Florence, Oregon. Of the five days of touring, we had about 2 1/2 days of rain. The other days were cloudy and foggy, which are a photographer's delight. The following are the locations in the area....Bandon Beach, Coquille River Lighthouse, Charleston Boat Yard (where the abstracts were taken), Shores Acres (flowers), Arches under bridge in Florence, Sweetwater Creek Falls, Mapleton, andHeceta Head Lighthouse
The Palouse
slide show (22) These photos were taken in the Palouse, which is located in SW Washington and NW Idaho. Beautiful rolling green hills in June of 2008.The abstracts are macro photographs of old cars.
Abstracts
slide show (1) The more recent images that I have been drawn to have been abstract scenes. Some of my friends and family say wow!!!, this is fabulous. Others say, oh no, I don't like it!!!!!Whatever, I love it!!! That is the most important thing.
Architecture
slide show (2) I have always enjoyed photographing buildings. It started with black and white film photography, and is continuing with the digital color photography. Modern buildings and lines really draw my interest.
Black and White
slide show (14) Black and white was my first love in photography. Like most first loves you never quite get over it. In those days it was film, dark rooms and chemicals. Now I am photographing digitally and photoshop is my dark room. This has been a learning experience for me, one that I am still working on. I do still photograph with a Hasselblad medium format camera with 120 black and white film.
In-Camera Creative
slide show (1) Included in this gallery are swipes (or pans), montages, multiple exposures, and more techniques. I really enjoy this area of photography.
Landscapes
slide show (8) I do love taking landscape photographs. I will have to admit, I do not love getting up prior to the rising of the sun for those first soft cool photos, nor do I necessarily enjoy being out at the last ray of sunlight. What I do enjoy are the spectacular photos that can be created by the wonderful morning and evening light. It is fabulous.
Macro
slide show (2) Close-up photography has been a love of mine for years, both in black & white and color. It has been known to try ones patience......it is very time consuming, but very worth while.
Textures, Shapes and Lines
slide show (3) I am drawn to textures, shapes and lines. Sometimes they are close up and other times I see them in the distance.
